Saturday 7th was already long booked in our agenda: after the good experience we had last year, we would certainly return to Brussels for the gaypride.

I must admit, the years before I was not so interested to go over there and spend my free afternoon to see all those queens pass by. But last year was so good, that we would certainly go back now.

But, morning broke, and with it came the rain. So rough4u and I were doubting till noon if we would go or not. Because the rain put in question the most important question for such days: WHAT to wear ;-). Last year we both went in boots and army, but the weather this year was not permitting that.

Around noon, we finally said 'Let's go', out came the jeans and the T-shirts and off we went. As we were there around 13h00 already, we wanted to visit the departure before taking our places. So we arrived and saw the mix of cars, queens and boyzz allover. Besides seeing one or two halfnaked men, most of them were duffled in and having cold also. After running against some old mates, we decided that it was enough for the sight-seeing and we departured for our preferred place on the street.

We arrived at Sint-Jansplein, seeing it completely empty, 30 minutes for the start of the parade. What a difference with last year, where we were standing one hour before departure to have good places.

Then God decided to add some more wetness to the day, and open came the gates of heaven with rain. Running for shelter, I saw a toystore and nothing else to do, I went in. And to my delight, i saw some famous bibib animalheads hanging. And 5 minutes later, I was the proud owner of the Basset hound to add to my big collection, thnxs to my WONDERFULL bf ;-)

Ok, back to the parade. The bad weather certainly limited to number of bare chests and asses we saw, but we also found the atmosphere less 'gay' then last year. Everywhere in the news was said that there was a mass audience and an enormous amount of trailers, we did not find it that way. Even big contributors like 'La Demence' of last year were not present at all, and a lot of other participators had downsided their attendance. A pity, but the reality. So suddenly, we saw the cleaningcars, thé sign that the show was over.

Parade over, we went home again. Last year, we saw the wonderfull "Nicole and Hugo", but this year we were not interested to go to the AB to see Nathalia and co. We had the pleasure of seeing her a few months ago in De Zuiderkroon, and were sure that she would not excell this performance last saturday. And to pay for this, nope, not for us

And besides that, we needed to get ready for our evening in The Boots..... What happened there is a totally other story......
